Narre Warren South P-12 College is one of many Secondary Schools in Victoria that currently has the Doctors in Secondary Schools program running.

As part of this program we have a Doctor and nurse from Casey Gate Medical Centre that are with us every Tuesday from 10 am until 2 pm. They are available to see students in the GP building where they can provide free primary health care services, just as you would expect from a clinic in the community.

We know that teenagers are the least likely of all ages to seek health care and this program seeks to address this issue as many health problems in adulthood stem from this time of life.

What will the Doctor do?
The Doctor will provide students with the same services as a normal medical clinic. They will see a student about their physical and mental health. The Doctor may also make a referral to other health services as required. The Doctor will bulk bill through Medicare, so there will be no cost to the student or family.

The program is not designed to replace your existing regular GP, but rather it can provide a convenient alternative during school hours without impacting parental work commitments.

How do I access the Doctor?
You can make a booking to see the Doctor through our College Wellbeing Centre.
