FUSION

FUSION Music

The FUSION Music program focuses on students developing their musicianship and technical skills playing various instruments and performing in a variety of ensembles including Stage bands, Choirs, Wind and Brass Ensembles and Modern Bands. Students participate in private instrumental lessons, as well as small group ensemble based classes and modern band classes in a rotating timetable throughout the week. Students not only learn traditional instruments, but are also taught a variety of industry standard software and techniques focusing on music production. Students are also exposed to a variety of different performance opportunities both within the College and the wider community to practise and demonstrate their performance skills. Theoretical studies include the study of a range of classical and contemporary musicians and composers, as well as music theory to support their practical studies and prepare them for VCE or VET Music pathways.

FUSION Dance / Drama

The FUSION Dance/Drama program focuses on students developing their dance and drama skills through studying a variety of dance styles, dramatic elements, composing choreography, scriptwriting and technical skills. Students are exposed to various performance opportunities both within the College and the wider community to practise their performance skills in both dance and drama. The FUSION Dance / Drama students are also involved in the school Musical Production, Showcases and other performances, taking on lead roles, featured dancing/acting roles, ensemble cast, as well as back stage and front of house crew. The FUSION Dance/Drama program builds confidence, creative thinking skills and fosters a supportive and encouraging environment of self expression and artistry.
