Last Friday the Year 10 Future of Our World class embarked on a coastal fieldwork excursion: focusing on the impacts of humans on the natural environments. Students went to; Somers Beach, St Paul’s Beach (Sorrento), Portsea Surf Beach, and Portsea Front Beach; to examine the different responses to erosion and critically examine the effectiveness.
Students were most interested in the scuba diver they saw, who was at Portsea front beach completing maintenance work on the pier. After some delicious cafe food, and a quick break, students were to face their most difficult challenge of the day: roadworks.
